Story

In many rural and low-income areas of Laos, children face significant barriers to education. Schools lack basic facilities, learning materials are limited, and families struggle to afford school-related costs. Long travel distances, poverty, and the need for children to support household income often force students to drop out early.

Without proper education support, thousands of children are at risk of losing the opportunity to build a better future.

When children cannot access education, the impact lasts a lifetime. Low literacy levels lead to limited job opportunities, continued poverty, and slow community development. Girls are especially vulnerable to dropping out, early marriage, and unsafe labor.

Communities without educated youth struggle to grow and break the cycle of poverty.

The purpose of this project is to ensure that children and youth in Laos can access, continue, and complete quality education. By reducing financial and resource barriers, the project helps students stay in school and develop skills for a brighter future.

This education project will provide:

  • School tuition and registration support

  • Textbooks, notebooks, and learning materials

  • School uniforms, bags, and supplies

  • Classroom furniture and basic repairs

  • Scholarships for disadvantaged students

  • Teacher support and learning resources

  • Mentorship and education follow-up

This project will support 600 students per year, including primary and secondary school students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Through this project, students and communities will:

  • Increase school enrollment and attendance

  • Reduce dropout rates

  • Improve literacy and learning outcomes

  • Create pathways to higher education and jobs

  • Empower girls and marginalized youth

  • Support long-term national development

Education creates opportunity, dignity, and lasting change.

For many children in Laos, education is their only path out of poverty. Your support helps keep students in school, protects their future, and strengthens entire communities.

One donation today can change a child’s life forever.

Frequently
asked questions

The main beneficiaries are children and youth from low-income and rural communities in Laos who face barriers to education due to poverty, distance, and lack of school resources. Priority is given to students from disadvantaged families, ethnic minority groups, and areas with high dropout rates.

This campaign supports primary and secondary school students, with limited support for upper secondary students who are at high risk of dropping out. The focus is on ensuring students complete basic education and gain essential skills for the future.

Many schools lack basic materials such as textbooks, desks, and safe classrooms. Families often cannot afford school-related costs, forcing children to leave school early to work. Without immediate support, thousands of children risk losing their chance at education permanently.

Students are selected through a transparent process involving schools, teachers, community leaders, and local education authorities. Selection is based on financial need, attendance records, motivation to study, and family situation to ensure fair and ethical distribution.
